I have update the driver, so thats ok, but now audio cd's are not being read. Dvd is fine. Is there two lazers, one for each media, cd & dvd? Or does the one lazer do all? Please help.

I have a dell latitude pc with windows xp on it and it's so clogged up with stuff that I want to start over with a clean slate. It originally belonged to someone else who had windows 2000 on it and most of the stuff is theirs. Can anyone help?

i have windows i vista now, so i transferred all my old files from windows xp into windows vista. im just having problems loading programs that have 3D things in them. For example everytime i try loading a game, a msg comes up and talks about a video card driver not supporting the program. and it also says something about it running in software rendering mode. does anyone know what that means? i've tried getting help online and the help and support section. i've also tried upgrading this video card thing. but nothing is working..does anyone know how i can get my programs to work?

i use the micosoft business suite for work. i download lots of speadsheets and other files. i will use it as my over the road business computer when i am traveling. mainly to check email and work on excel files. i often have multiple files open at once and need wireless access. i want to buy an off lease or refurnished unit off of ebay. is that a good idea? what can i expect to get for around $400-$500?

My hard drive crashed(at the final point of the crash my computer didn't even recognize the hard drive) and I got a new one and it works great. Is there any threat to my computer(new hard drive etc..) if I try and install the old/bad hard drive as a slave and get info that way?

If there is no threat to my computer, what exactly would I do to get the data?

Ok the computer will power up like if it was going normal but the monitor will not power, i have tryed few diff monitors so its not that and cant run diagnostics on it because i have no visual to whats the problem how can i know whats wrong, is there a way to diagnose it?? i need help asap>>> thanks

Alright here is the deal I just change out the motherboard of course memory and video cards kept my harddrive. I just needed a upgrade going from agp to pci express video of couse I running now a am2 socket mb cpu is 3800 x 2 memory 2 ddr2 800 total of two gb. My pc is not booting up it checks bios than goes to a screen asking different type of start you know safe mode, last known configuration, safe mode with comand prompt, and the other but anysways nothing is working. On the hard drive is windows xp. I am able to go to my bios but thats it. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.
