I have a P4 3GHz system with 512MB of Ram installed (PC2700). I installed a PC3200 1GB which is backward compatible with the PC2700 and it seemed to work fine for a while, I even checked the General tab in the System Properties window and it showed that I had 1.5GB of RAM installed. All of a sudden the computer just rebooted itself and it would either reboot itself right before starting windows or it would freeze. Only one time it gave me the chance to restart it in safe mode from where it gave me an error with the video card. So I removed the 1GB memory card and now everything is back to normal however I want to be able to install more memory (it can take up to 3GB). The error I got was Error: Stop 0X000000EA Thread_Stuck_In_Device_Driver (Q293078). Should I upgrade my video card since ATI doesn't seem to have any upgrades for my card (Radeon 9200SE 128MB) and see if that fixes the problem or should I exchange the memory card?

dont have a clue what kinda one im looking for!wanna get one thats a fairly decent price,not going to spend loads of money on one!probably wouldnt mind spending up to 700 euros.basicly using it cos i go on the net quite a bit.any help would be great thanks!

Randomly my laptop shutted down out of nowhere.I turned it on & there was nothing.I waited for half an hour & turned it on again.It showed a a blue a background that said compaq at the bottom of it,like it usually does.I tried moving the mouse around but it was frozen.It took awhile for it to go onto the windows menu where you choose your user name.Finally,it reached to the login users menu & it was still frozen.I left it on & it never moved to the main windows where you can see all the programs & so on.What should I do? Also my battery was really hot,is there something wrong with the battery? Please help.

Just recently I put my older Dell hard drive into a newer system I built. It's built correctly, so no need to take that into consideration. All the parts are compatible because they worked perfectly fine with another hard drive. My problem is that the thing boots, goes to t he windows loading bar, throws the blue screen of death, and restarts, constantly doing this. I did a repair install, a chkdsk, everything I could think of. It still gives me the blue screen. Anyone know what's going on?

Any ideas on how I can do this? I don't have a DVD burner on my laptop. my PC has a DVD burner on the PC, but my internet connection is so slow I downloaded the files on a different faster server. someplace eles. I was thinking a jump drive but I don't really understand how they work.

I am trying to print something from my computer but after I go to the page that tells me to print and I press ok, the page vanishes and nothing happens, the printer is on. Usually when this would happen the computer would say can not find printer or no connection, but it is not doing that. What could it be??? thank you... I have a Lexmark X3350

My two year old Packard Bell will not work this is the problem

I start it up and it says a windows 32 file is corrupted or missing. Reinstall this file.......Where do I get this file?

I tried using my Master CD from another Packard Bell and this is what happened

It loaded up and it told me to enter my computers serial number. So I enteredt the numbers from the sticker on the back of the computer. Then it went to a blue screen with a white bar at the bottom stating OemsSetup V4.21 and did nothing

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

NTL have changed over to virginmedia.I uninstalled firewall/antivirus & installed there own "PC Guard" Scan indicates no virus etc.The only way I can run it is by swiching power off for a day,then I get around 2 hrs before it starts to reboot constantly.Any advice out there please/OS ME (98) platform.I would use the restore disc..But I need to burn info from it first !!

I have a question, I am thinking about buying a lap top to replace the 2 year old system I have now. I love the sound (music) I get out of the desk top. When I purchase a laptop and use it at home for music can I still use my old speakers and subwoofer (sp?) are there places to hook up speakers on a lap top?.....thank you

I'm working on a craft project and I have a roll of brown paper (very similar to the paper bag material), I'm wonder if I cut it down to 8.5x11 if it will successfully absorb the ink or toner. I have an inkjet printer and a laser printer, just don't want to screw them up :)
