Do dell cases have propritary motherboards?

I know a lot of older dells have proprietary motherboards. I have a Dimension 4500 and I'm looking to upgrade the motherboard and CPU. Can I use my dell case or do I have to start from scratch?

I don't know i had a HP just get a new case there are many nice cases you can get for no that much.
