Pentium D is simply two Pentium 4chips put in togetha. The regular Pentium 4 chips mostly carry a 400Mhz FSB, but as a improvement in Pentium D, Intel used 800Mhz FSB, which is if course faster, and better than the P4 alone.
the reason why is, Pentium 4 chip performs on 3.20Ghz. But the combined Processors on Pentium D which is 3 + 3 Ghz, perform equivalent to 5.3 Ghz processor alone, and utpo 6ghz on load.
The answer for you - nice and straight, the answer for your question only wud be - yes "Pentium D" is better than Pent 4.
