Jump drives are great and they are very easy to use. You plug them into any USB port on a computer. Then double click on "My Computer". The drive will be listed in that window. You can drag your files to it just like a folder. Then when you are done, unplug it. Now plug it into the computer you are moving the files to and go to "my computer". You will see the drive listed there and double click on it. it will open like any old folder and you can copy right from it. its very easy. Its just like using a cd rom that you burn, only easier.

The best way is to transfer through USB flash drive (jump drive as you may have called it) Your laptop and PC definately have an usb port in which you insert in. Basically you plug in the flash drive and your computer wil detect it. Open the folder to where you can paste in your files. These flash drives come in many different sizes from 128 mb to 4 gb. Have fun.

You have to have networking facilities like a router. You do not need Internet and can make a home network. This way you can access other computer's hard drive just like yours and copy&paste any file, no matter how large.

See home networking in Windows.

Cheers.
