Im buying a graphics card for gaming, but is there anyway to find out what my computer is compatible with, through Windows?

In Windows XP, right click My Computer / properties / Hardware tab / Device Manager button. Look under Display adapters for your current card and double-click it. Under Location you should see either PCI or AGP.

(okay there's probably a faster way but this is how I do it)

what you can do is do a right click on your mycomputer icon... and then go to properties.... once that comes up.. then click on Device Manager.... keep looking through Device manager until you see what kind of graphics connection you have... it is pretty simple to do.... that is also where to tell if your other devices and drives are working correctly.... good luck

depends on which connector is on the motherboard if you have a book that came with the pc it should tell you
