I need an Aircard for my computer to get a wireless signal when i travel, i hate using the ones in the hotels, plus i travel overseas also. anyone recommend a really good one, I heard sprint was better than cingular, but any suggestions, and what to look for. thanks a lot.

I have an old Dell computer of mine that the motherboard went out on. My grandfather has a old gateway of his that the harddrive went bad on. He forgot to keep his xp serial # so he just bought a new computer. I was wondering if I could take my hard drive from my dell (That already has xp on it and everything) and get it to work in the gateway. I tried but it woudn't boot up. The settings on the hard drive is set to single drive and is installed correctly. It will not let me go into any safe mode either. I was figuring I could go into safe mode and just get all the drivers for the computer. Is this even possible to do? I also do not have a hard copy of xp. I searched all over the net couldn't find anyone saying you could/couldn't do this so thanks for any help I really appreciate it!

I am planning to buy a new laptop as a desktop replacement and for occasional travel. I will use it mainly to surf the web, occasional music downloads and MS office applications (PowerPoint and Word). I do NOT run gaming applications. During travel I may watch a DVD or two. I have my eyes on a 15 or 17" Dell laptop with Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, and 80G HDD. Which of the following would be worth spending extra dollars on to enhance the performance/speed of my computer (mostly for web surfing): processor speed, front bus speed, L2 cache, HDD speed, video card memmory, RAM, RAM speed? Is there a "rate-limiting" process when surfing the web other than connection speed?

I know this may sound like a stupid question but is there any way possible to find pictures on your computer that you have alraday deleted?

like old picture you took then deleted them form your computer AND your recycle bin too?

What are those little bristles on printers where the paper comes out after printing? They are spread out so much that it's probably not to wipe anything away. They don't move... Give me some links in your answers please.

Ok im getting a new computer nothing big or special just a normal running computer with windows xp operating system on it. I need to know the following stuff though so i know im not getting cheated for my money. I need to know around what numbers these should be at: GB(giga), MB(mega),Mhz(hertz), Or Ghz? Just for a normal but nice running windows xp system. Also anything that i should look for in the computer if im getting broadband internet or satelite internet - why the computer would need as requirements. Thanks so much!

I just got a MacBook the other day, and it works really well overall. However, I noticed that some images show up as small blue boxes with question marks in them. Has anyone else with a Mac had this happen, and how'd you fix it? I never saw this on my old laptop...but then again nothing else besides pictures worked on that one lol. So yeah, any suggestions as to what to do? Thanks.

Does anyone know a good site I can use to get step by step instructions on how to wipe and reload my computer. I have a 2year old Dell desk top. This will be a learning experience and may end up costing more in the end (need it fixed by professionals) However, I would like to try myself. Any tips would be great. I have saved all the documents that I want to save. Does a wipe remove all the Dell componets like the drivers? do I need to save these on a disk? thank you

I am trying to uninstall a Lexmark All-in-One. I have it unhooked from my computer, but when I try to remove it, it says that it is in the process of printing & that I can't uninstall it until it finishes printing. Any ideas? THANKS!

The brightness of my screen goes down when I go on battery power. When I plug it back in, it gets brighter again.

However, now it is stuck in that 'low brightness' mode.

Can anyone help me? I am running Windows XP.

How easy is it to upgrade a processor? At the moment I have a Pentium 4 Prescott 3.06ghz on a MSI MS-7174 motherboard, socket LGA 775. (I sound like I know what I'm talking about but I'm just copying and pasting!) Could I install the new pentium core 2 duo's like the E6600 or E6400. Usually I had another computer. When i conected the speakers on my old computer they sound more louder. When i go to ''start'' and go to entertaiment. The menu sound thing doesnt appears.Then when i go to advance everything is block in there.. somebody help me please!!
