It looks just like any silicon chip.

They usually come in black plastic or ceramic packages. The "chip" inside is completely covered, so any picture of a chip will do - As long as it is not a presentation to a bunch of electronic engineers, who would recognize that the white numbers printed on the outside of the chip make it a different sort of chip!

ROM chips rarely have more than 40 legs, so perhaps best to stay away from a picture of a computer's microprocessor. Any small chip really should do!

I hope this helps?!

Good luck!

Read Only Memory (ROM) is a "solid state" form of an area on a microchip. It is programmed by being told to be in a state of "on" or "off" or "1" or "0". The ROM is programmed usually only once unless a special device or very special software tells a special device how to re-program or "flash" the ROM. It is long-term or permanently programmed and not usually meant to be changed. Often confused with RAM which is temporarily programmed.

.
The term "Read Only" applies to FILES that can not be changed
UNLESS you "resave" the file, and rename it, to work with making changes.

ROM
is a type of memory, (as on your computer hard drive)
that normally can only be read,
as opposed to RAM which can be both read and written.

A RAM (Random Access Memory) "memory" CHIP is a piece of hard ware inside your computer that has physical electrical components that
speed up the performance of your computer being able to access files.

No it is not a "chip". Most desktop memory is about the size of a pocket comb. It is green and has little black chips on it.
