how do i send files from my home pc to my laptop i use bt homehub but dont know how to make them communicate please help, thanks

In Windows, create a home network.

Even simply, use pen drive to copy and then put the drive into your laptop.

Over the Internet, use winscp program. I use it to connect to my office pc.

Control panel -> If you are going to connect it with an ethernet cable -> Assistant for local network -> select the network and then select the computer, you might need to know the IP address of the other computer

they need to be set up for file sharing, the shared folders are able to be seen by the other computer and files can be pushed or pulled from one computer to another--the file sharing option is under networking (file and print sharing)
