Randomly my laptop shutted down out of nowhere.I turned it on & there was nothing.I waited for half an hour & turned it on again.It showed a a blue a background that said compaq at the bottom of it,like it usually does.I tried moving the mouse around but it was frozen.It took awhile for it to go onto the windows menu where you choose your user name.Finally,it reached to the login users menu & it was still frozen.I left it on & it never moved to the main windows where you can see all the programs & so on.What should I do? Also my battery was really hot,is there something wrong with the battery? Please help.

buy an apple. i HAD to get a windows computer ( a gateway ) for work and it's the biggest p.o.s. i've ever dealt with. it crashes, the battery lasts about 1 hour, the wi-fi starts and stops. it sucks.
