I installed new cartridges which I ordered from Dell, the company that made my comp & printer. I put the black ink & color cartridge in the same way & they seem to be in there right, but the printer keeps telling me that the color cartridge is missing. IT IS NOT!!! It's in there!!! I can't find any help with this in the instruction manual or on the Dell website. I hope someone on here knows what the heck is wrong.

Sometimes the cartridges do not go in easily. You might have to apply more force to getit to seat properly.

BEFORE YOU FORCE IT, make sure you have it in the right way or YOU WILL BREAK IT!

You did remove the protective stip, right? (It's easy to forget when in a hurry.)

Did it make a "snap" when you inserted the cartridge?

Maybe the nozzle is plugged. Have you run a nozzle check and cleaned the print head (Turn printer on, open a document, click as if to print, select Properties, Maintenance)
