what can i do so i dont eventually get electirfied or is it ok?

Dont worry, its normal. The power supply that it connects to, contains a transformer. For reasons I won't explain here, at the exact instance it connects with the supply, the transformer appears as a dead short circuit. This causes a spike in current, which causes the flash.

Mine does it as well...

Have your laptop off! There is power running through it and if you plug it in while it's still on of course it's going to spark! But if you're plugging it in while it's off then it's probably just an old outlet and a new cord... don't be worried.

Hello Live Your Life,

My plug sparks all the time when I plug it in, with no shocks or anything. Just be sure to have the plug-in directly to your computer unplugged when you plug into the outlet, just to be on the safe side.

There is a short-circuit, either in the plug or the wall socket, if it's the plug replace it, if it's the outlet itself call an electrician. Leaving it could start an electrical fire.
