what is the best dial up ISP that will not rip you off, and that has good connections, and you can check a web based email of your own choosing?

Well, I decided to upgrade to Vista for free! Yippe! Yeah, well, before I do that, I want like a "list" or "log" of EVERYTHING on my computer. Is there anything that does that and tells me what apps and stuff I have on my computer? Thanks!

When I am on my computer, sometimes there is something running in the background. I can tell this because the hourglass starts up as if a program is opening up, or has been loading?? What ever it is also makes my Puter drag bigtime. There is no icon that shows up anywhere so that I can tell what it is. I bought the computer used. Can someone tell me how to find out what may be running in the background so that I can disable it??

I am running 2 x 1gb dual channel 800mhz sticks. I just downloaded CPU-Z to see what my RAM speed was at they both say 400mhz. Should they both say 800?

Well, I have good system specs on my computer like 2 GB's of RAM and 600 GB's of HDD Memory. The only question is that I want to upgrade to Vista Ultimate. Is this a good idea? It seems much better than XP security wise, but if not, I already have a good Vista GUI emulator so it looks exactly like Vista, just a little more memory added to it. What should I do?! Thanks!

I'm continuing this question I had, because I haven't figured out.

I have gotten rid of a few virus, and spyware/malware stuff. Spybot, Adaware, and AVG have done their part. I installed Eusing registry cleaner ... and it cleaned it up good.

I had this problem before I did these things, it's the only thing I haven't figured out the remedy to. Ok, it's freezing at startup. IT was freezing both at start, and at shutdown. Now, I have run those programs and PC-Doctor 5 and it didn't show anything wrong with the graphics, motherboard, etc. I did all the tests.

What do I do next. How do I determine what it is next?

i don't know where it comes from but it seems to piggy back on other programs and i hate it. i have repeatedly erased it from control panel and the explorer history, but it comes back constantly. someone please tell me how to permanently block this stupid search engine!!! it completly overtakes explorer and you cant do anything. this program has irratated and frustrated me to no end. i also tried to find out how to contact the home page but had no luck. my pop-up blocker doesn't help because it is an automatic website. any help would be great. thanks.

Resently, I downloaded a program, but my homepage was changed into http://alloversafety.com/x.php, and could not be changed. I tried to edit on registry editor, but I failed. The strangest thing was that it does not show up on the Add or Remove Program in Control Panel. Who can tell me how to do!!!!!!

im getting new laptop for homework use and of course a lil bit of game like warrock( it only requiers 256 mb ram)
im not willing to spend more than 550 dollars.
wat is a decent one i can get? at least 1 G ram. Some ppl say dell, some say acer, some say gateway, im confused.

I got a different CPU at my office and i went to set up my sceen saver, but there is not a screen saver tab under dispay in the contol panel. I have everything else but no screen saver. Where would I find this on my computer? Is it something that I may need to download from Microsoft? I have never seen a computer without a screensaver. I enjoy my screen saver at it is of pictures of vacaions and it makes work more baearbale. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
