i cant get roller coaster tycoon 3 to work...WHY?

i have windows xp pro. and i still cant get roller coaster tycoon 3 to work...WHY? it does say a direct x thing

i have windows xp pro and i cant get roller coaster tycoon 3 to work...WHY?
i can install it but it just wont start it says something about direct x ...what can or should i do?

Download the latest version of DirectX.

Install it and that should cure your problems
