i installed a 1gb memory module in my home computer and am still having problems. I took out 1 of the 2 old memorys out, like I was told to do, and put the new one in. Everything seems fine, I checked the available memory with the new mod in, and it went from 504mb to 1.49gb, whatever all that means. But, when i try to put a picture on my computer, I get a "not enough free space" pop up thing, and a "low disc space" bubble on the bottom of the screen. Did I miss a step or do something wrong? help please. thank you. if it helps, it says my C drive is the one thats full, the D drive is OK. sorry, Im kinda puter illiterate. ty again.

Hi,

In one house me and my brother both had separate Virgin Media Broadband accounts, with separate cable modems (and separate cabling on the outside of the house).

I've just cancelled my service with them. Is it possible to somehow share his internet connection with me? Given the fact that the cabling is in place and even the modem. I have a splitter which on one end has Broadband, one TV - Can this be used perhaps?

If not then when my brother goes on vacation am I able to on the outside of the house where the cables are, unscrew his line and screw in my line into his as his is active and mine is not active? Would that then provide me with broadband to my room?

I think it would, but am I right?? And how can we go about sharing the broadband connection? Is it even possible? I mean the modem has a USB and a Ethernet connection, if he were to use the USB and then I had a long enough Ethernet going from that one modem to my PC - is there a way of sharing the connection that wa

right i dont know exactly whats happend, i dont think its a virus because im doing norton antivirus scan and its not detetcting anything, i think its more of something ive acccidently loaded onto my computer. basicly yesterday i was on a website and up came the usual click to download activix controll or whatever it is and i did well now im getting all these popups saying warning your computer could have viruses click yes to install pcsecure to do a system scan and when i click no or yes it brings up an internet page asking me to buy there software product. also my toolbar has changed to this thing that has remove popups spam protection and all that instead of my ussual google toolbar. i also had a few computer icons with the same sortof thing ( spam protection, error cleaner) and i deleted those but i cant actuly find any programes in add or remove programes. i also cannot have a desktop backround because when i try it sez cannot find C//INTERNET SPYWARE NOT FOUND. please help me?

i have a confusion that i have asked some experts about DG965wh that it is well suited to E4400 and each time the experts suggest me about DG33FB but in concern of on-board graphics and sound DG33FB is not superior than DG965WH and the only difference in DG33FB is noticed that it have more FSB 1333. please guide me.

I want to create a drop-down list in a cell that changes the values of other cells to a predetermined value. Basically, I am attempting to make a comparison sheet that lets me pick an element on a list that allows for a quick comparison of their values in a small space so I don't have to scroll all the way to the other side of the page to verify numbers.

Ex.

If the list on A1 reads mercury, then that would set A2, A3, and A4 to display preset numbers. But if the list reads Helium, then A2, A3, and A4 would display a different set of pre-set numbers.


So...how can I create the function I need? :)

I over heard a conversation today that confused me alittle.
The guy was talking about hooking 2 computers together to work as on. For example each had 512 ram but they ran together so it was like he had one computer with 1 gig ram. Dose this make any sense to anyone else he didn't mean like a network to share files he specified to double all resources that is all I heard help confused
