My PC has following system requirements:

intel pentium 4 processor,1GB RAM,128 MB video card memory,Windows vista Ultimate,160 GB SATA hard drive.

having the above system requirements which graphics card will suite me best?

Cheap= Geforce 8400GS

Better= 8600GT or 8600GTS

Awesome= 8800 GTS, GTX or Ultra

Vista with 1 GiB Ram isn't that good an idea.

128 MB video card memory also makes little sense, the video card memory will be on the new card not what's in your computer. I'd be more interested in knowing whether you've got an AGP slot or a 16x PCI Express slot myself (no one can recommend a card without that information, those that try are idiots).

There's also the need to figure out what performance and features you need and how much you're willing to spend.

Exactly what KARZ said. (see the answer above). If money is no object then definitely go for those Ultra Nvidia cards. I would personally upgrade your computer to a dual core at least with 2GB of memory before I upgraded my graphics card.

go for either a Radeon HD 2400 XT or a Geforce 8500GT. Both are good at where they are priced. These are already strong so if you want something stronger than these two go for the whopping Radeon HD2900XT or Geforce 8800GTX.
