At the time of no Flash and no AJAX, I used to validate all my sites with W3Cvalidator.
Nowadays, I have the choice: a working website (no bugs, no bad layout, all "a-ok") on IE7, Firefox, Opera and Netscape, but 20+ failures in validation, OR
Validated... but not working (sometimes not working at all!!)
What is the way forward?

My specs: Sempron3000+ 2 GHz, 1GB DDR400 ram, EVGA FX5500 AGP. I want to upgrade video card. I see some reviews in the 7600GS "If u dont have at least DDR2 sys. ram and 2.33Ghz of cpu you won't get the max out of this card." Is this true? So if I get a 7600GT AGP or 7800GS AGP I *wont* see a difference with having to upgrade to a 7600GS AGP? I can go for any card.

supposing im leaving my laptop out while im away for a few minutes what can i do to stop other ppl from accessing my computer?

is there anyway to lock the computer for a while?

but not log-out cos then i have to close down all the programmes i have been running.
any way to lock it while keeping all the programmes running?

Hi guys, I did vedio shopping for laptop and I found that those notebooks with AMD processors are much cheaper than with Intel. I don't really understand the difference b/n the two...but how come such big price difference? Which one do you recommend me?

I just started college and I am in desperate need of a laptop. I think the Turion processors are better but which one is really the best? What about the GHz? Does higher speed mean it draws more power? I've tried to find the difference between all those processors so if you can give me the best answer you win.

i have a 39 percent signal, and the speed test is telling my download rate is over 2.5 mb per second but i cant download movies or stream video its 4 in the morning so i know that they're not on, i only use when they are not on, any idea what's going on and how i can fix it?

As the title indicates, I'm looking at upgrading my computer's hardware for when Warhammer Online comes out. So far, I have an ATI Radeon 9100 Graphics card and 2 gig of ram that I'm satisfied with, but my computer is still pretty laggy when playing games. Should I look at upgrading the motherboard next? What would you suggest, and what procedure for doing so would you recommend?

I really want a laptop but the problem is, I don't know what to look out for.
- I play the Multi Combat games, need a hell lot of memory.
- I do heavy research, so what do I need for that?
- I listen to music and don't like them being slow. So??
- and a webcam installed. and bluetooth.
- and I like the colour white.

Yeah, so mind helping me with the first three options? I'm really considering the HP Pavilion tx1005AU but according to my dad, it's not good (blablabla). What laptop is suitable for a demanding user like me?

How can I make it so that if I look at any of my friend's myspace, my default picture is different than the default pic of my own myspace. For example, on my friend's myspace, roflmaoxqz's picture is shown as me smiling and sitting down; now, if you click on roflmaoxqz's profile, the default pic is shown as me standing up posing. So what I want is basically to have two default pics: one that is shown only in my profile, and one that is shown to all friends on their profile.
