How old where you when....?

Question

1. you first had cable?
2. you first had call waiting?
3. you first had a computer?


For me:
1. since I was at least 6 (1985?)
2. um..... 10/11? (1989ish?)
3. we got a computer in like 1990. We had CompuServe and Prodigy before AOL came along.
I remember a black screen with a green c:// prompt. LOL
I remember, in school, playing with a triangle shaped green "turtle" whose sole purpose was to draw a lines using commands...

1. Since for as long as I can remember we've had cable. Our old cable box (yup a cable box!) had buttons that you had to press down to get the channels you want, each button had three different stations, and there was a switch on the side that you could move into position for the different row of numbers.

2. I don't remember when we got it, I just remembered we had it. Took me forever to work it.

3. Do you count the Commodore 64? Because we had one of those bad boys back in the day. Then my father built a computer that ran on DOS (no windows here just the c prompt!) and had a 5 and a Quarter inch floppy drive. Didn't get an internet ready computer until about 1997, and we had AOL for the longest time, we got it because AOL went to standard monthly fee rather then pay by the hour.

2. Erm.. I don't recall. Never use that function anyway.
3. When I was 13. Before that, the computer I used was a family computer. There was an old computer in the house when I was very very young. It had a slot for the 5¼" floppy disc!
