I just started college and I am in desperate need of a laptop. I think the Turion processors are better but which one is really the best? What about the GHz? Does higher speed mean it draws more power? I've tried to find the difference between all those processors so if you can give me the best answer you win.

Do not fall for a fast processor paired with a lousy integrated graphics. You might be disappointed by its 3D graphics performance. If you have gaming as one of the considerations, better strike a good balance between cpu and gpu. Many have been disappointed with their fast dual cores because it was paired with cheap integrated graphics.
ATI Xpress 1100 is just entry level graphics, good only for light gaming.

Get a Mac. Sure, it costs more than the regular PC, but you'll save yourself alot of trouble in the future knowing that it rarely malfunctions and almost never gets any viruses (meaning you don't have to spend money on antivirus software). Plus, they're just better than PCs.
