I saw some one in my class press something like ctrl + and the right arrow on the key board. Im not sure if he press control or something else, but anyway, it rotated his desktop screen, anyone know how to do that, if u do, can u post it?

If I install Windows Vista, will all of my programs be deleted? Like Photoshop, iTunes, Quicktime, etc? Because I bought Quicktime and Photoshop... and I really don't want those to go away.

And what about the documents? Will they go too?

I installed the program a few years ago. Recently I copied all of the files that weren't corrupted off the CD. Then I accidentally snapped the CD in half. How can i recreate the registry? (I have the program files) I already tried rerunning the installation with what I have but i get an error...

Iam having problems on my laptop (acer 5000)
i turn on my laptop and
it goes to the blue screen.
the scanning screen.
if i let it load it stays on 0% and wont go up.
I can quit it but i think this will be harmful to my laptop.

i hear that keeping a battery in when using ac power will degrade the battery life, is this true? sources?

it doesn't look very aestetically pleasing with a gaping hole where the battery should be. and i'm afraid dust bunnies might make it their new breeding ground if i did...what should i do?
