U need to post a question with more info.

Exactly WHAT part of the process fails to work ? Does the burner software fail to notice the blank media ?
Does the drive not read ANY discs ?

Your Burner needs to be super-multi or duo. That's because those burners read all kinds of discs like cd-rw or dvd+r.
