Most laptops have it. Just turn it on and configure it to connect to a wireless router or an access point. If laptop is old and has no wifi, just add something like this:

If your laptop is wireless enabled, you just have to turn ON the wireless and search for available wirelessnetworks. If your laptop is not wireless enabled, buy a wireless USB adapter. Make sure the speed is good so that you do not have to bother in future.
Also, you may require wireless router, if you do not have one. Care for speed, 54mbps is good or 108 mbps is good, and its range. This will enable you to wire free connectivity and internet.
