Ah, NH Baritone got the point I was to add.

Ctrl-C copy
Crtl-X cut (or delete) so that the selection can be moved!!

Ctrl-V to paste when the cursor is in the position the insert is desired.

(On some keyboards, in some operating system, the Insert Key can be used to paste; but I forget which, and certainly haven't used it this way for years (a decade??)

Use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the spot you want to start the copy process. Then hold down the SHIFT key while moving the cursor to the spot you want to end the copy process. This will highlight the block of text you want to copy.

After releasing the other keys, press CTRL-c (for copy) or CTRL-x (for delete). Then move the cursor to the spot you want to paste the block of text and press CTRL-v (for insert -- think of it like an arrow for shooting the text into this spot).
