I went to get a oil change last week now my car seems as if it doesnt want to go over 55mph.
I was watching the mechanic when he drained the oil ,changed the filter but I didnt see him put any oil back in there. Its like my car doesnt want to pull. While I was there he replaced a link in the rear suspension -that clacking noise is gone.. Im just mad because I JUST got the car fixed and now it seems to be acting up. I had a transmission put in a few months ago so thats not it.(hopefully)

come on mechanic I know you know.

BTW -Im going back to shop on Monday I just had to ask you guys so I can calm my nerves.
Oh another question is oil clear--like vegetable oil?
thanks in advance

Hello i have a 94 Camaro Z28 And when im driving around and stuff i go home and i can smell coolant from my car so i look at it and i pull out the oil fill cap and smoke comes out of it. and today water was on the cap, im hoping this is condensation. Anyways I also hear some gurgling noise by the firewall. Maybe the heater core? I dont hear anything from the radiator. Also when im driving around my car runs at a temperature below half and when im done driving the back of the engine feels extremly hottt u can hear is popping from the heat of it, but the front is not even that hot. The radiator cap isnt even hott to the touch. Also smoke comes out of the back of the engine smelling like coolant. So do you think i possibly have a messed up heater corE? Also What explains the smoke from the oil fill. and the excessive heat? Thanks:D

Not too long ago, my car gave me problems, it wouldn't accelerate upon pressing the gas pedal. I took it to the mechanic, and he told me there was sludge in my engine, and if I had continued to drive my car like this, I would have ruined the engine. He told me that places such as Speedy Oil change use low grade, or recycled oil to place in your car when you get an oil change. I had just had my oil changed less than a month ago at Speedy Oil Change. I plan on never going to one of those places again. I have a 2000 Volkswagon Jetta. Has this happened to anyone else out there?

I understand how to wire all the speaker wires, the black gets grounded, theres a yellow with a fuse that controls the clock. does the yellow and the red wires go directly to the batteries? does it matter which battery? is it correct if I go straight to the batteries, that means there will be power to the radio at all times, even if the ignition is off.........is that ok?

I have a GMC small block, v8 on my boat. In theory, what would happen if I completely plugged the PCV holes on top of the 2 valve covers? The reason I ask is b/c the black tubes that let this pressure out go straight to my carburator, and its fouling up the air filter after every few weeks because its letting out an oily residue - not too bad, but bad enough to clog the filter and make the carb struggle until i clean it. So what would happen if I plug these tubes instead. BTW, there is no PCV valve so to speak, its only a hollow plastic black tube, going from top of valve cover to carburator.

My boyfriend's car's windshield is covered in cracks and for both a birthday and Christmas gift I'd like to either fix it or replace it. It has many cracks running across the top and some radiating from the rear-view mirror. I'm thinking I'm just going to replace it. Is it possible to replace something like that yourself or is it best to take it to a shop? I'm trying to find the most cost-effect way of doing this. If anyone can help me out, let me know. I desperately want to make this as cheap as I can.

I'm trying to replace the front brake pads on my care. I took out the old ones and put the new pads in. However, the caliper won't fit over the new pads and won't go all the way down. What should I do? I think there the right pads.

My Toyota 4Runner has 120K miles on it. I get is serviced fairly regularly. It was running fine two weeks ago when I took it to the dealer for a 60K mile service interval, which included "replace transmission fluid" among other things. Oh, by the way, since this was a dealer recommended and provided service, the total bill was $550.
The car had been running fine during the two weeks since the service. Then, last night, I noticed it was sometimes making a funny sound, which sounded like it was maybe coming from the front drive train. It only made the sound occassionaly. I called the dealership, but they said they were in the process of closing for the day. I was driving home on the highway; everything seemed fine and I did not hear the sound.
Then, the AT Fluid Light came on. After a minute, it went off. Then, I noticed I was slowing down and the engine was revving.
So, I had to pull over and get the car towed. I had the car towed to an entirely different Toyota Dealership

I was looking to replace both the compartment and the windshield. Where can I get this done? How much will it cost? Thanks anyone for answering.

Hello,
Hopefully someone can help plzzz my friend had her car towed for repair the guy looked at it said it would be $1,700 to fix. She told him she didnt have that kind of money right now. The guy went ahead and fixed it without her consent or her signing anything. Now she cant even get her car back is this legal?? I heard that there was a statue that states any repairs over $50 must have a bill of sale signed by both parties. Can someone please try and help find out what she legaly can do just go pick up her car???

I am getting a new car soon. However the brakes on my car started to squeak. I was thinking it was the brake pads, but I was wrong. It turns out my rotors and all were bad. Not wanting to put 600 dollars into a car I will only have for two more months, I asked them if they could do the minimal for me that would still keep me safe, but not cost a fortune. So in the end, it says on my reciept that I didn't get my rear drum brake shoes resurfaced. Now my car feels strange when I brake and it feels like I almost have to put it to the ground to get it to stop. I have been to these people over and over again, so I trust them, I just don't want to put my life in danger, did I do the right thing?? I am very confused with this break thing, I don't understand the brake pads and everything, I don't want to get into an accident. I tried to ask the guy, but he didn't speak english very well. Will I be ok for two months?? I'm so lost

When you get a warning for maitenace repair, do you just repair it, or do you have to repair it and have it inspected by the police department as well now.
