My friend is changing the front pads on my honda accord. He said it should take a couple hours. I'm bringing a 12 pack of beer over as the requested payment, but what would be a fair monetary/$$$ amount?

The transmission in my car went, and someone close to me wants the car because they can fix it. I haven't paid the garage that looked at my car that told me it was the transmission and that it's done. They want to tow the car (today is Sunday and the shop is closed) is this right? I just need others opinions. I don't think it is though.

I just bought a 2002 Impala LS. While driving slow the car stoped little by little and it was still on but it wouldn't move the battery light came on as it stoped I turned it off and tried turnin back on it never did so I changed the battery although I didn't think that was it cause the car didn't turn off but juts to make sure and it turned on after that now the engine light came on
and the car wouldn't start later on it started on its on!! Can anyone tell me what it can be??!!

My four wheeler runs fine for about 3 minutes then starts bogging out and studering. It then only runs on full choke. Then it stalls after a while and wont start for a few mins

I have some work to do on my truck and I can forsee myself having to do some cutting and grinding in some pretty tight places. I am going to need a rotary tool. I would like some opinions on which tool is the best. The two that I know about are Dremmel and Proxxon, anyone know anything good or bad about these rotary tools?

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger & a 2000 Chevy Cavalier. The clearcoat is peeling on both on the hood in the same spots, over the antifreeze reservoir and around the edges of the hood. This occurred in the last week on both; large coincidence. Anyone have a suggestion or experienced this?

i changed oil and checked all fluids when i check the transimmition fluid while putting the probe back it stuck so i have to push it and it went it

now engines lights comes up

what should i do

is it dangerous, can i drive for one week (300 miles )as i have exams this week and dont have time to go to workshop

I dont use my car that much.
I live in a small town and work 2 miles where I live.
It would take me about 9 months to go 3000 miles.

I have a 2005 Honda I bought new with only 7000 miles (because I drove from Las vegas to florida twice with it.

My question is what would happen if I waited until my next 3000 miles, which could be like 9 months from now?

Would I harm my car in any way?

this is the 4th time the lumbar support broke in less the 3 YEARS!!! can i get nissan to write something saying that it keeps breaking and if it breaks after warranty i won't pay anything when i turn it in?

I had a few questions. If I were to buy rotors, I would need two front and two rear rotors right? I know that sounds kind dumb but I just want to make sure. Also If I took it to a shop how much would they charge me to install them, If I buy them already and just need to get them installed. Please just tell me what theyd ask for in the shop, I dont want to install them myself. Thanks.

My mazda 1998 is giving some trouble, it has 200,000 KM's on it and well the problem is that when driving on the highway i brake and not just the steering wheel but the WHOLE van seems to shake, everything works fine until I brake, but the its shaking. any suggestions....

P.s i jus got brand new ball joints installed 4 months ago... dun know if that'll make any difference

i have second handed Camry 97, i dont know what the hell happened with my car. the "break" light is always on when i accelerate to 40mph or press the break too hard. My hand break is released every time, in another words, i have never used the hand break even at the parking lot. Please help me find out the problem!!!

I have replaced the switch, the window channel and the window motor, but the window still will not open. I noticed that when I removed the main switch from the drivers side door, pull on the switch and press the switch to open the psgr side, the windows open. Is this a problem with my wiring sys or the main switch? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!

When I accelerate (especially noticable from stand still or corners) my engine 'chokes(?)' ie splutters and it feels like it misses a beat every now and then and my car jerks about. It's not noticeable when i have some momentum and traveling at a constant speed.

I noticed some fluid leaking recently, the mechanic said it was engine coolant fluid, so they replaced my rocket cover gasket. apart from the leak it was running good before.

Could it be a dodgy part or dodgy fitting that has done it?

I took it back already once, and they reckoned water had got into it so they dried out some pipes. (they told me i needed my engine cleaned too..... :s)

hi all ive got a ford fiesta xr2i k reg. i recently had a new fuel tank fitted ..but now my petrol gage is showing false info.. when theres no petrol at all in it its showing a quarter of a tank.. and when i put say £10 in it its moving but not much ..its just not showing the right info ..anyone have any sugesstions. could i fix this myself?

my next door negabor has a 98 kia sportage the inside lights on the dash quit working and the tail lights didn't come on so i looked at the fuses and a 19 amp fuse was blown i replaced it and the lights worked two days later the fuse blew again. anyone have an idea? thanks alot

I just got XM Radio, but can't use it until I can get my cig. lighter to power.

The fuse was blown and I fixed that, but still it's getting no power.

The car is a 00' Mercury Cougar with "smokers package" if that helps at all.
