try to reach through via the back seats, if you can push the back seats forward to get to it

If any of the car doors are unlocked you can usually get into the boot (trunk) through the back passenger seat.

I keep a spare key securely taped to the underside of my car, I got caught once and had to wait 3 hrs for the AA, as I was in a very remote part of the country and as I wasn't an AA member I had to join there and then cost me £70.00.
You can get a magnetic box called 'keepakey' that attaches to any metal part of the car, but I prefer to use the tape method as more secure.

If you have not got a spare key and you cannot remote operate the boot, is it possible to pull down the back seats? If not then its best to take the car to a garage and let them open it for you. Do you have AA or RAC cover? If so you could try asking them to come out and sort it.

It would be useful if you mentioned the type of car.

Most cars in the UK are hatchbacks. The boot is covered with a shelf made of plastic or similar. If you could remove the shelf (or smash it), you'd get access to the boot (and your key).

in case your motorized vehicle has guide living house windows anywhjere, then gently prise the door body far flung from the body, and insert 2 chocks to carry it there. Then use stiff cord accessible crank the window down adequate to get your arm in. Wind the window down, and launch rear seats. Use a pickup device to retrieve the keys. pastime takes 1/2-hour on easy.. in case you dont have a guide window everywhere, you could launch the boot with a tebbes key or similar.

Bob has it right and this is another example of why I carry a spare key in my wallet. Plastic keys cut into what looks like a credit card are also available.

You could try using opening the door with a thin piece of plastic or metal down the glass. An experienced person could open it in under 2mins.
