I was driving and my car slowly stalled and now wont start... I am getting fuel to the filter... and the MFR is working... i also replaced the spark plugs and distributor cap... and the wires are new... the engine only has roughly 50,000 miles on the rebuild... it is a honda b18a1 non-vtec dohc 1.8l 5 spd manual.. and the only code the ecu givs is for the TPS (throttle positioning sensor)

i paid over 700 to have my brakes fixed at Midas and i want to know if i was screwed over. i had to replace the rear pads and rotors and the rear driverside caliper. i know that parts arent that expensive, they used the cheapest ones, or so they say. it just seems to me like i paid WAY TOO MUCH to have just about two hours worth of work done.

I have recently replaced my tires and the ride and handling are great. I replaced them with the same tires and at 40k miles, even though they are warranteed for 60k miles.

So why is it the tread was still up to par but the handling was so poor in comparison to when they are new? Also the tires felt soft in comparison to when they are new, even though they were filled to specs with air?

They promote them as if they will perform like new until the warranty, but obviously they don't handle and feel that way.

Any ideas would be appreciated

93 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE 3.3 V6. Engine stalls, lack of power, and popping through intake during acceleration. I've checked compression, timing, spark plugs, wires, and spark. I've replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator, MAP sensor, breather filter. What else can it be? Oh yea also NO VACCUM LEAKS.

I got the front driver side cv joint replaced this weekend on my 93 Altima. That was the only side that needed done. Now its making a loud grinding sound the whole time you drive, it almost sounds like brakes grinding, but it is all the time, except when car is completely stopped. I'm taking it back this afternoon to have it looked at, but anyone have ideas what this will be?? Thanks

Any cheap and easy way to firm up my van's rear suspension so that it doesn't bottom out during a few ski trip per year loaded with people and gears?
Something like squeezing couple tennis balls in the coil springs?

Hi, I have an Acura RL (2000) and my front struts were "jammed"- this happened when the car was serviced. They said- the wear and tear plus the strain of being hung up for servicing did the damage and the struts were now rigid.

The car was horrible to drive initially and the ride was very very bumpy. All the mechanics said the struts needed replacement.

I drove the car for 10 days and now the ride seems better, smoother and less bumpy. It is bad only when I go over a road bump.

Why would there be an improvement? Have the jammed struts become a little better now? Can anyone explain this?

What should I do?

When I turn left, its like it loses its power steering ability and I really have to add force to get it to turn, this started happening after I went to Firestone and got new tires and a tie rod, and how long is it save to even drive it before anything more damaging occurs because I am in school and home is 6hrs away and I refuse to get it done anywhere around my school now that I dont trust Firestone!

I have a 2004 Mazda 6. It is a great car, wonderful to drive. But it does have a problem that is something of a mystery. Every so often, upon startup, the engine will rev all on it's own for about 20 seconds and then it levels out and is good to go. The needle goes up to the 2 on the RPM scale, then back down to the 1/2 mark, up down, up down, up down, then levels out. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

I have had this pickup sitting around for a year. I am now trying to get it going and one last problem is still puzzling me. When it sits for more than 3-4 hours I will have to spray starting fluid in the carburetor in order for it to start. It will start just fine right after that. It doesn't have an electric fuel pump, I have changed the hoses and clamps, the carburetor has been rebuilt, and it has good pressure from the fuel pump once it is running. It just seems like it looses something the longer the engine sits. Any suggestions?

95 chevy 5.0L c1500- after a heater core replacement. "check gauge" lite flashes for a bit then off? The temp gauge goes up then down, then all goes to normal. Its not a rapid repeat thing, just every few miles or so. But everything works as far as controls, heater, a/c, and my truck seems to be running normal. No overheating, stalling or anything, just the gauge thing. Is there a step i missed? or do i have to reset someting? WUSA-GOIN-ON HEAH?

my car usus a size 215-60-15 tire, would a 215-65-15 size be ok ? i know that would mean the 215-65-15 would be a little less width but it would be minimal, only one size difference.

We had the best storm ever this year, and the rain was insane. After it let up all the roads were pretty much flooded, my question is can you stall out if you kept driving through all the puddles in the road? I was scared so I stayed in the middle non busy roads to try and avoid them.

I have a 2000 Chevy Express 1500 Van, I replaced the fuel pump and the van started fine afterwards. The van was not driven for a couple weeks after this, and now will not start. It turns over fine and their is fuel getting to the engine, but it will not fire. I dont know if the computer needs to be reset or if ti has some type of vapor lock or what. Any suggestions?
