Hi, I have an Acura RL (2000) and my front struts were "jammed"- this happened when the car was serviced. They said- the wear and tear plus the strain of being hung up for servicing did the damage and the struts were now rigid.

The car was horrible to drive initially and the ride was very very bumpy. All the mechanics said the struts needed replacement.

I drove the car for 10 days and now the ride seems better, smoother and less bumpy. It is bad only when I go over a road bump.

Why would there be an improvement? Have the jammed struts become a little better now? Can anyone explain this?

What should I do?

I t sounds to me that the jammed struts may have dislodged a bit. Really though driving with bad struts can do serious damage and expensive repairs to other vital areas of your suspension if you want this car to last then get some new struts. Having a car serviced should not have caused this
strut problem it appears this was already an issue. Get them fixed basically you are not noticing it because you have become used to it. Consider this the struts are basically the main component of any suspension system do you really want to mess with your safety. Good Luck and God Bless.

yes. magic elves with craftsman tools descended upon your car late one night and fixed them.
don't believe me? then take your car to a shop, get them fixed, and quit being silly.
no, your car didn't fix itself. yes, you still need to fix it.

they may have unjammed, but it will happen again. i suggest to have them replaced. that way you don't have to worry about it.
