When I turn left, its like it loses its power steering ability and I really have to add force to get it to turn, this started happening after I went to Firestone and got new tires and a tie rod, and how long is it save to even drive it before anything more damaging occurs because I am in school and home is 6hrs away and I refuse to get it done anywhere around my school now that I dont trust Firestone!

Do you hear some noisy during the turning, your steering fluid in reservoir may run low, top it to the spec. It located in front of firewall and behind the engine...sometime difficult to find it.
It will difficult to turn left or right if that is the case. You can idle the car and try to steer to right or left extreme. At each end you will hear some noise, let go, the noisy should be gone. Worst, your steering pump is bad.

First top it off with power steering fluid. I had the same issue with my BMW.

Check your power steering fluid. (low?)
Check the tension on your PS drive belt. (loose?)
