I recently had the starter relay replaced my '96 Sea Doo GTI. While it was being serviced, they also replaced the gas tank due to a manufacturers recall. When I was riding today, every time I slowed to idle, a loud and continous warning type whistle began to sound, and continued until I picked up speed. After awhile, I had to go faster and faster for the whistle to stop, and by the time I got back to my dock, the whistle was almost continous, no matter the speed. Wassamatta??

when I hit 38 and 55 mph there's a low whistle or howl sound til I get a few mph higher or lower than those speeds. It could also me the turbo engine the car has. I just bought a used vw Jetta wagon and it drives great, but is faint whistle anything to get checked out? The dealer said he thinks it's the new tires and I should bring it in within a week if it bugs me and he'll try 16 " wheels with thicker (regular) tires?
Do you think it's the turbo engine at those specific speeds?
Why would the new tires make a low hum like that only at those 2 speeds? It could also be the roof rack, but since it's only at 38 and 55 mph, I don't think so.
Experts? Good guesses?
Thank You

Hey guys,

I'm trying to flush and fill my radiator before winter hits and I can't get my radiator petcock off! It is driving me nuts. Its on a 94 Corolla, and its kind of shaped like a + sign. I've tried using my finger, and also a pair of pliers, but I can't get the d@mn thing off. Is there a special too I can use, or am I just an idiot?

Thanks!

the car would need body repair, due to some minor dings, scratches and that fact that’s it is starting (barely, thankfully) to rust. i would want a wide body kit (looks cool). New tires and old racing styles rims.
a new corvette engine.
Turbo charger. Headers.
Racing performance suspension system.
redo the interior with a cleaner material.
custom hood.
paint job and manufacturer style stripe and emblems.

give me a rough estimation of total price or individual item prices.

Even with truck off in my 2004 dodge ram cummins diesel the cylinder was still humming.
I had to disconect the batteries(there are two in this truck) for the humming to stop.

I had my front windshield replaced and when I got my truck back the dashboard was cracked and loose and even around the radio. Do they have to do anything to the dashboard in order to put in window. I am going to take it back and have them fix it.

I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX 4door sedan.
When I turn the key to start the car. The electical accessories come on though. There is no noise coming from the engine, but its not seized.
How do I make it start?

Could it be the starter relay? or something with the ecu or something fried in the fuse box?

Give me some possible things that caused it. Thanks

My 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 does not have enough engine power to change the transmission. It really struggles to get up a small incline. When I let off the accelerator it changes gears. I've been driving around like this for a couple of days. I had it put on the little hand held computer at Auto Zone & the only thing it showed was the purge valve. Everyone tells me this wouldn't cause the problems I'm having. Please Help!

My car was running fine then the next morning it wouldn't start. I jump started it and it ran fine, I turned it off and tried to turn it back on immediately and it made a clicking sound, but wouldn't turn on. Does this sound like the battery needs to be replaced or do you think it's the alternator? Thanks!

My sister is selling me her car (95 Olds Achieva) but she lives 92 miles away and I can't diagnose it until I get it. I am trying to budget to pay for it, pick it up, and get it fixed... That's why I'm asking this before I get it. I'll give "symptoms", please help me figure out what could be wrong.
It will turn over but won't start, the lights and radio work, she said the battery is low and when she tried to jump start, it wouldn't work. Could it possibly be the starter, alternator, or battery???

Thanks for any advice!

Does anyone have any idea what I would need to check next? Engine light is back on. Even had an elbow hose changed at the time the plugs were replaced in the lower half of the engine as it was found to be collapsed. No improvement in performance after all this. I would appreciate any input. Will go for a mile or two, then stutter and has no acceleration. Have tried in automatic and manual mode transmission. (Transaxle)? No real difference in performance. Very frustrating and dangerous as you never know how the car is going to act.
