Some t*at has put a screwdriver into both passenger door locks on my Saxo.It still locks on the remote but I still need to get them changed. Any idea of cost & is it something I could tackle myself as I'm a bit strapped for cash till next month

I would consult with a locksmith. He may be able to repair them. You could change them yourself if you can locate new ones. New ones will have a different key. A CHILTONS manual from the auto supply should tell you how to access them. It's a matter of removing the interior door panel. The lock cylinders are likely available from locksmith also.

Unfortunately you have not said the year and model of the saxo. If the lock is separate from the door handle, then its a very easy job to replace. You need to remove the door panel to get access to the slide washer that hold the lock in place.
If however the lock is part of the door handle then your best bet is to try your local scrap yard for replacement door handles with locks. Its possible to remove the lock from the door handle if you have the key however if the lock is damaged you will need to use a drill to destroy the lock to remove it.

You could go to a locksmith or any Citroen main dealer could make you a lock from scratch. I wouldn't try and repair them yourself as they are very fiddly and you need the parts and tools (and patience) to do the job so it's best to leave them to the experts. You could do the actual removing and refitting yourself to save a few quid though, once you have removed the door panel it's just a case of removing the clip holding the lock in place, lift it clear of the door and twist it to remove the link rod. Pretty simple stuff.
