Can I drive my sons 1995 Buick Riveria to the Mechanic if the water pump is leaking?

Do I have to have it towed?
Or just take along some water in case it gets hot?

dont drive ur sons car if the water pump is leaking... u have to have it towed... if u drive it urself...... it can be messsy and its gonna cause alot of trouble

How far? if over 2 to 3 miles it might be safer for the engine to have it towed. "really bad leak NO"

Unless the water is pouring out , you should be just fine if you keep your eye on the temperature and pull over and shut it off if it gets hot. Wait for it to cool , add water and keep going.
