I have a 1997 Chevrolet Z71 and have a super 40 flowmaster Dual In/Dual Out and is very quiet at above 2000 RPM's. If i were to get the regular 40 Series for it and just make each pipe have a muffler, will it be louder. because i have two catalytic converters.

Help! I failed my emissions, so i have 30 days to resolve this. The NOX was way high, and we found that the EGR valve wasnt working. turns out, that was fine, the solenoid was fine; there was no vacuum pressure. We checked the tubes, all clear. We checked the computer, and it says that everything is fine. The filter is clear. What could possibly be wrong? Again, no vacuum going to the EGR. Help!

My 306 XSI 2.0 16v keeps cutting out while I am driving..no pattern to it at all and it idles fine. I've had the fuel filter changed and diagnostics bring up no codes so my mechanic wants to change the fuel pump.
Does anyone know whether this is a good idea or have any other ideas becuase I love my car and don't want to sell it.

I drive a 1994 Honda Passport and when I put my foot on the gas, the car doesn't move! When I take my foot off the gas pedal, I have to wait until the car is down to 20mph for the car to shift back into gear in order for me to be able to press the gas again. If I continue to press on the gas, the "Check Transmission" light will come on. Is it def my tranny or could it be something else? I've taken it to 2 mechanics and they both said there's nothing wrong with the car, but I know it is - I drive it every day and can feel it. What could it be?

MY CAR IS SPUTTERING UNDER MODERATE LOAD. THIS HAPPENS BETWEEN 1900-2200 RPMS. THIS MAKES DRIVING AT 55-60 VERY ANNOYING. I USUALLY DROP IT FROM OD TO D TO ELIMINATE JERKINESS. UNDER HEAVY LOAD,IT DOESN'T ALWAYS SPUTTER, BUT SEEMS TO LACK OOMPH IN GENERAL. MY PLUGS AND PLUG WIRES APPEAR TO BE FINE. I'M THINKING IT MAY BE FUEL RELATED. IT CHUGS DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 65-70 QUITE NICELY. I THINK I SHOULD BE GETTING BETTER THAN 20-21 MPG, THOUGH. HELP?

Sometimes when I start my Jetta it sets off the panic switch for no apparent reason. This is very annoying and embarassing. Is there a solution to this problem? I've been told it's a common issue with the Jetta. I like the car, but the panic mode is driving me crazy!

My car started making clunking noise in the front right tire area whenever I would drive over bumps or cracks on the roads. Now, it is still making those noises, and after driving my car for about 20 to 30 minutes, and accelerating the car from very low speeds, there is a weird kinda grinding noise coming from the front right tire under kinda hard acceleration for about 3 seconds and then it disappears. What can this be? Is it dangerous? I hope it is not the wheel bearing is bad. However, if it was a bad wheel bearing, wouldnt the noise always be present and not just present only after a kinda hard acceleration from low speeds for only 2 to 3 seconds only and then the noise disappears?? Oh yes, while accelerating, when the noise comes, if I would let go fo the gas pedal, the noise goes away, until I step on the pedal again kinda hard then it comes again... Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I just purchased a preowned toyota avalon. The tires in the front are kind of worn out in the sense tht the treads on the outside are completely gone whereas the rear tires seem fine as far as the treads are concerned. The car also scids on wet roads and rain. I was thinking of replacing the front tires with new ones. However, i am now in double minds whether to get new tires for only the front ones or even chnage the rear ones. does any one have any advice on this? what is usually reccommended?

its a 2003 Ford Taurus. I have owned vehicles now for almost 30 years and have never heard of this. Is he trying to scam me? I cannot find another place in Milwaukee that offers this service. But I do not want to have an accident cuz my brakes dont work. Isn't $200 alot for basically an "oil" change for my brakes? I am not your typical female driver, I have personally rebuilt the brake system from Master cylinder all the way back incl. the drums and pads on an 88 Olds 98. And the oil on the Taurus has been changed every 2500 miles.
Thanks

95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. V8. 180k miles. The vehicle drives fine in the city and runs smoothly. When I'm in top gear on the highway it sort of shudders and misses. I can feel a little clunking every few seconds, especially when I try to accelerate or go up a hill at speeds above 55mph. Is this something I could fix on my own in a weekend? The most advanced things I have done are brake/rotors, changing water pumps, etc.

The past few days my grand cherokee is overheating when my car is idle. I started my car today and the check engine light was on. Are these two things related? Also, my a/c is not blowing cold air. Could all three of these things be caused by the same thing? What could be going on here? Thanks.

I have a Honda Accord 1997 and about 6 months ago my Maintence light was orange and i took it to the Honda dealer when i was told that i had to fix some wire and somthing esle. I took it to a normal dealer ( for cheaper price) and fix the problem. The orange on the maintence light stayed orange never change to green. Recently, The light turned in a red-orange color and i'm worried that somthing could be wrong. But honestly i haven't notice any problem in my car. I'm thinking of taking to the dealer but i'm trying not to get ripped off. Anybody have similar problem and have any suggestions?

if you go left to right, should I primarily drive in the D right after N with square around it, or the D that comes right before 2.
