I put new spark pluge in my 94 GMC Sonoma pickup. It is running so rich that the new plugs are fouled and they won't fire. Can I clean them or is it best to replace them?

First, fix the problem. Is the check engine light on? I bet it is. Probably an oxygen sensor problem. Then replace the plugs.

For the cost of the plug, just replace it and save yourself the trouble. Sometimes you gotta take a torch to it if it's really bad. I'd just replace it and have a fresh plug. With that being said, it's time to look into why your fouling plugs.

Replace them. And fix the problem that is causing it to run too rich, or you will be putting more in soon.

You can soak them in carb cleaning solvent to remove the fouling and clean with an old toothbrush or small wire brush
