My car started making clunking noise in the front right tire area whenever I would drive over bumps or cracks on the roads. Now, it is still making those noises, and after driving my car for about 20 to 30 minutes, and accelerating the car from very low speeds, there is a weird kinda grinding noise coming from the front right tire under kinda hard acceleration for about 3 seconds and then it disappears. What can this be? Is it dangerous? I hope it is not the wheel bearing is bad. However, if it was a bad wheel bearing, wouldnt the noise always be present and not just present only after a kinda hard acceleration from low speeds for only 2 to 3 seconds only and then the noise disappears?? Oh yes, while accelerating, when the noise comes, if I would let go fo the gas pedal, the noise goes away, until I step on the pedal again kinda hard then it comes again... Any help would be much appreciated.

to me it sounds like a brake problem - maybe a stuck caliper piston.

have faith it or no longer, the hubcaps on a automobile can sometimes flex inflicting a steel clicking noise. I had a automobile that did this some years in the past, and that i solved it by wrapping electric powered tape around the interior the hubcap (the place it grips the wheel) which padded it sufficient to steer away from the click. the least complicated thank you to envision for it quite is to easily pull off the hubcaps quickly. i do no longer point out any of the different opportunities which incorporate wheel bearings, on the grounds that different answerers have already further this up.

Hmmm... you might think it's coming from the right side of the car but sometimes it really isn't. Especially after stating that the noise only comes when you step on the accelerator.

It could be a lot of things... it could be your tie rod, or your velocity joint, could also be your tire itself...

best way to find out is to have it checked by an expert mechanic.

don't guess... don't leave it unattended either. it might eventually cost you your life or someone else's.
