My Son took his 2001 Mustang to Ford recently because it was making a clicking noise in the engine. . They tore it apart and told him the engine was shot and they would fix it for about $4000. He decided to do it himself. So rather than put the car back together Ford left it in pieces. They kept his bolts, and several other parts. He drove it in running, and had to have it towed home. He is now trying to put it together without the parts ford kept. There was no service contract written up when my son left the car He has been all over town looking for parts to put his car back together. Ford has not billed him yet but they expect payment of $114.00 for labor. What should we do?

I have a 98 Civic EX. This morning when I was leaving my house I noticed a click when I turned the steering wheel. The click happened whenever I turned the wheel. Just one click, when the turn was starting, on every turn. The sound is definately coming from the steering wheel or just behind it, it's not the CV joints.

Is this something I should be worried about or is it normal? It was a really cold morning so at first I thought that might be the problem, but it kept recurring during my 20 minute drive to work.......

My car revs when it is in anyone of the following gears..D,R,1,2,3. I have tried to have mechanics look at it and they drive it around and come back saying that they didnt notice anything wrong. Its a 95 Explorer XLT with about 170K miles. This problem only seems to be when it is cold outside and has nothing to do with warming the car up first....meaning that after an entire days worth of driving it still does it. I thought maybe something with the fuel injector but have used cleaners and that doesnt seem to totally fix the problem...Any help would be much appreciated by myself and the people who think I am trying to race them at a red light!! :)

My car was parked overnight where it snowed. Some of the snow entered in the engine area. Could it pose a problem for any electrical parts?

does anyone know about this part? I had it "fixed" for my check engine light last Thursday. I got it back after paying 220.00 and I didnt even get it home and the light was back on. So I took it back and they again said the problem was fixed. I guess a sensor and something else? is what I already paid for...well I took it back cause the light was still on and now they are saying they need to replace the valve (which is what I thought they were supposed to do to begin with) but now its going to be another 220.00 should I have to pay this or not? If you need more info please contact me thru here. please I need help!!!

I have a 2000 Mustang (V6) and the check engine light is on. I took it do Advance auto to have it checked and they told me the code is P0411 and it says Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow.

I called a Ford dealer and they of course told me to bring it up there for them to charge me 200.00 just to look at the thing. They said it could be one of several different problems.

The car seems to be driving just fine but the light is bothersome. Could someone please tell me what might be wrong with the car.

Thank you!

I have a 2001 BMW 325i and the rims are always dirty! When I clean them, its starts getting dirty whenever I drive it again. Now, I know its brake dust and its not a problem with my driving style because this is never an issue with my honda accord. I've got a buddy with a Bimmer and he has the same problem also. So, is this just a problem with Bimmers? What can i do to prevent my rims from getting dirty?

I own a 1988 Olds Delta 88 and the steering is bad again! In March of last year I had the racknpinion replaced. The powersteering pump is not leaking one drop of fluid, but the steering is bad again. Sometimes it feels like I have no ps. at all and other times its normal. What could be the problem? I would like to be prepared when I take it to the mechanic.

The parking lights do come on though when the car is in park. If I raise the steering column, the light will work just fine. Anyone have an idea of what might be causing the problem and any estimates on repair? Thanks.

the heater and the dipped lights went at the same time so i thiught it must be a fuse, however after checking and replacing most of them i still have no dip and no heater,i bought new fuses for the relays too but this solved nothing, could both dip bulbs go together?at the same time? i cant see it and with the heater going at the same time i obviously thought of fuses...any ideas?

March 1st, my husband took our 1997 Dodge Intrepid ES to get the state inspection sticker. The car was running fine, but the check engine light was on. The guy there says that we need some new hoses, wires, things like that and we end up with over $600 in repairs.

March 3, my husband turned on the heater and noticed it wasn't blowing heat. Then he noticed it was overheating. He took it back to the "guy" (he is not a certified mechanic, we know now) and told him to fix it. He said he 'forgot' to bled the system or something, I don't remember the exact wording but he said a pressure bubble built up in one of the hoses he installed.

March 6, I'm driving the car with my two small children when all kinds of white smoke comes out of the hood. I turned off the car and eventually made my way back to that shop where they said there were more air pockets and then they go ahead and install a new thermastat because the said it was not opening and closing like it was supposed to.

Ok, I posted about this a couple weeks ago but I'm still having problems. There's a pronounced pulsation/vibration in the steering wheel of my 2001 Buick LeSabre. At first I thought it was related to the tires so I had them balanced/aligned. I also had a bad motor mount replaced last week. The problem persists.

It seems that the majority of the vibration is actually in the steering column itself. It's not so much in the floor of the car. I also put my hand on the dashboard and the vibration didn't seem to be coming from there.

Another issue is that I have developed a tiny bit of dry rot in my tires, which I plan on replacing within the next couple of months. But like I said I don't think the vibration is so much tire-related because even when I have my foot on the brake at a stoplight I can still feel it.

Can anyone (who actually KNOWS something about cars, please!) give me an idea what this might be? Thanks!
