1990 honda accord 2.2 SOHC..transmission will only shift if you hold the pedal to the floor?

car almost red lines to shift and if you let off the gas, it will down shift back to low so hard, the TCM has been replaced. the speed sensor, and shift linkage adjusted...have checked all connections and all other sensors...what am i missing..If you manually shift thru the gears...its OK>>>

Sounds as if you have somehow gotten a "foreign object" (dirt) into your valve body assembly inside the bottom pan of the transmission, as that is where the pressure from the torque converter actuates the valves that shift the car.

Probably best to have Transmission specialist look at it for further advice.
