I just bought a 2004 Mazda3, used with 43000kms on it. I had only had it about 2 weeks, and today when my boyfriend and I took our dog to the park the back right break disc was sizzling hot!! We only had drivin about 1km when we smelt something really hot, and i looked back and I saw steam coming from teh back tire. Not sure why this could be. I aksed my boyfriend if he was riding the breaks while we were going through the park, and he said he might of been(he has driven 5 speed for 6 years and this was his first time driving an automatic so he isn;t used to it), but even if he was...how come the back breaks were soo hot and not the front....any help from some car experts out there would be greatly appreciated!!

bought my teen son a 1995 Pontiac Grand prix 3.1L L82 Code M. Cheap...$3250 as is. Found it leaked coolant after we got it home...looks like it's coming from a drain cap or something underneath the car and not a hose or radiator itself. "Cap" is about as big around as a votive size candle, paritally recessed, 1/3 of the way back from the front end of the car near the driver's side front tire. Any idea's clues etc and what it might cost to fix it? Thanks

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I have had problems in the past with when I start it sometimes I have to start it twice-like the first try it wants to start but then I start it again and it does start. So two weeks ago it didn't start at all. Then the battery ran down and nothing. Anyway I finally got it home and had it put on ramps. Under the engine no gas was coming out at first then a day later it was coming out(something under the hood-some hose maybe). It wants to start but it strains and won't. After having it on ramps the first time it did start up and was able to take it around the block. Now it won't start at all. Help me guys I know nothing about cars-what could it be? I don't want to take it to the dealership where I bought it and pay $400.00+ for something that might can be done at home with maybe a few parts from Auto Zone or O'Reiley store.

This isn't inside the car, but I can smell gas from behind the car and at a stop sign with the windows down. The smell is coming from the exhaust.
1) What is it/what's causing it
2) How do I fix it?
3) Will I pass emissions/inspection with the smell of gas coming from my exhaust?

It's not carbon monoxide, by the way.

Appreciate any help!

I have a 95 Saturn sc1 and I have had problems with it cutting off durring driving and stalling out a lot and then this last week It has been grinding gears when the clutch was all the way to the floor, then when you try to put it into gear I have to use all of my upper body strenght to get it to go into gears. So that being said tonight I come home and It was smoking bad, I look under the hood and find a crack in the radiator, and look at the transmission and find a cord broken off of it. Would all these problem be linked into the crack in the raidiator and the broken cord if so what can I do to fix it without spending a hell of a lot of money.

What cord would it be... Hard question cause there are so many of them.

Which marks are the timing marks on the cam and the crank? On the cam I noticed a very small hole in between the 4 larger holes and I lined that up with the mark on the timing cover. I pointed the mark on the crank (that wasn't the woodruff key) vertical with the mark on the timing cover.
