You can install an alarm on any vehicle, but if you want to lock and unlock with the alarm's remote you'll need to install door lock actuators. These are basically motors that connect to the lock rods in your doors. Any shop that sells and installs alarms should also be able to install the actuators. You may choose to put one in the driver's door only, to save on the cost.

That's kind of difficult but I might be able to help you out. It depends on the amount of money you would like to spend. I have a couple options for you. There's an alarm system that I saw in Summit Auto Racing Catalog (summitracing.com) and it's a keypad with the buttons with the controls, and there's a digital display for you to tell you if anythings going on with the outside of your car like if someones messing with it. But my Dad has this neat alarm on his Mercury. It's made by Clifford, and it's a small black box under the dash. It's connect to the ignition system and has four cut offs on it so a car jacker can't disable it. You have a little key that looks exactly like a headphone jack, and slip the kep in it and hold it til' the red light goes off, and you can put the key in the ignition and start it. If you try to start the car with the light on...it won't crank over or anything. E-mail me if you have anymore questions!

Good luck!

you can install a system that will do these things but you are going to pay for it. You can put an alarm on the truck with out the electric locks

As KaeZoo stated if you wish to have automatic locks then door actuators would be needed. Keep in mind you would still need relays for your actuators to work properly.

Otherwise alarms main function is to disable starter & alert when shock sensor gas been triggered.

depending on how much you wish to spend you can get a unit with a built in remote starter, that is if indeed you have an automatic.

thye have remote starts for sticks but none with an alarm feature.

Personally , I would consider a Code Alarm unit as they saem to be the most reliable.

You would just get "bump" sensors in the doors, hood and trunk. And a remote would come with the alarm to activate it once you are out of the car. Did this on a 57 chevy, and that didnt have power anything ; )
