Which marks are the timing marks on the cam and the crank? On the cam I noticed a very small hole in between the 4 larger holes and I lined that up with the mark on the timing cover. I pointed the mark on the crank (that wasn't the woodruff key) vertical with the mark on the timing cover.

mark on the crank pulley is the timing mark, timing scale should be on timing cover..the timing gear turns twice for every once of the crank shaft
