You will have to use the process of elimination. It could be several different things. Bad or dead battery, Bad connection on battery cables, bad solenoid, bad starter, car not in park (auto tranny), Clutch not mashed down enough (manual tranny) or a bad ignition switch. Good Luck

Could be the ignition but if everything else lights up it's probably not. The wire from the starter to the battery could also be loose on either end. Check the battery for corrosion at the posts and check the wire that goes to the starter. Somebody shaking it (watch what your arms are near) while you're turning the key helps

Hello... depending upon the vehicle that you have, it could be the factory alarm system that is not allowing the vehicle to start. Some cars have chips in the key that will not let them start if the correct key is not in the ignition. I could tell you more if you would have listed the vehicle type. If there is a security light that wont go out, that may be the problem. Hope this helped!! Good luck and live loud!!

you need a new starter. this happen once to me, cost 150bucks (labor included)
