bought my teen son a 1995 Pontiac Grand prix 3.1L L82 Code M. Cheap...$3250 as is. Found it leaked coolant after we got it home...looks like it's coming from a drain cap or something underneath the car and not a hose or radiator itself. "Cap" is about as big around as a votive size candle, paritally recessed, 1/3 of the way back from the front end of the car near the driver's side front tire. Any idea's clues etc and what it might cost to fix it? Thanks

freeze plug

That is a freeze plug that is pressed into the engine block.
They are replaceable, but a pain in the butt to replace.

A shop should be able to replace it for $120.00
