Well oil changes are not very expensive. The safe bet would be to just get an oil change then you would not have to worry about it. Being a car with high mileage it would also be a good idea to keep a tight maintenence schedule.

Generally, it is every three months, depending on how much you drive. You should have a manual that gives you a schedule on when to do certain things. This comes in handy if you have a brand new car (20000 miles or less).
You could also ask a mechanic when you should get this done. Tell him how much you drive and how far, so that he can tell you how often you need an oil change.

That depends. If you bought it from a reputable dealer, then they did one prior to selling it to you. If u bought it out of the paper or on line or something like that, I'd get an oil change immediately. Then after that, new cars require an oil change ever 3000 miles.

Get it changed NOW since you just bought it the n get it changed every 3000-5000 miles. I do mine every 3000. I have an SUV that tows a boat in the summertime in extreme heat so you should change it more often if using it to tow. That is if you want to keep your engine clean and well maintained. Or if you dont want to keep your car that long listen to the person that said once a year.

Most people recommend every 3000 miles. Since you bought a used vehicle I'd highly recommend a tune-up just to get your car in shape. So you know everything is ok.

many extra recent automobiles have a sensor that tracks how long it somewhat is been because of the fact the final oil exchange. the adult adult males on the shop are meant to be knowledgeable sufficient to acknowledge which automobiles have those, and to acknowledge a thank you to reset them. regrettably, a lot of them do no longer know which automobiles have them, or, in the event that they do know, they forget to reset them. for this reason, the sensor thinks the automobile remains using previous oil and it activates the oil exchange gentle.
