I would like to be able to replace the blower motor and resistor myself, since it costs too much to replace.

The blower and resistor are under the right side dash. To access you must remove the right side insulator panel. This is the panel above the passenger's legs. The panel is attached with two push-in retainers. There is a small lamp attached to the panel on the back side. This can be pulled loose from the panel as you remove it.

To replace the resistor assembly you must disconnect the harness and blower motor connections. There are three screws holding the resistor assembly. Loosen but do not remove the two forward screws. Remove the rear screw and remove the resistor assembly.

The replace the blower motor you must disconnect the blower motor cooling hose and remove the three blower motor mounting screws.

If you have access to torque wrenches the torques are as follows:

Blower Motor Mounting Screws: 14 ft-lbs
Resistor Assembly Mounting Screws: 13 in-lbs
