I have a 96 Dodge Grand Caravan that has a transmission problem; it slips in 3rd gear and I can't drive it over 40mph. I need to get it back home (it's 40 miles away at work) and then sell it; but i need to do something about the tranny for a temp fix...it has the proper amount of tranny fluid in it but i wonder if there is an additive or "geri-rig" application I can easily make...any insights?

My battery is pretty much dead, and I need a new one. Where should I go to buy one? What place is the cheapest and how much do you think it will cost?

My car is a 2000 Ford Focus SE if that makes a difference.

When the engine dies I stop and try to restart it, but when I do I have no power I turn the key and nothing, no power to anything, radio, instument panel, ect. After about a min. it will start. Whats causing this? It has also died before while driving down the road and I would loose power, radio would go off like no power to it, but it would start again and power back with out stopping or restarting it.

i know its 4, and the cap says where one end of the wire goes. but which direction do they plug into on the motor.

is it 1-4 left to right, or right to left?

I have an electric bike with a blown headlamp bulb. It is a 40 volt 8 Watt bulb with a BA15s bayonet fitting. I am findng it difficult to source a replacement. Does anybody know where I can get one? I live in the UK and would like to source one from the UK. I would also be interested in sourcing internationally.

My Astra 02 plate has creaking suspension at the back on one side especially when its wet. Its booked in for an MOT next week, does this mean it will fail?
Its still bouncy, just makes a noise!

94 2.5l Plymouth Voyager. I may have to replace the rear main seal. In doing so, I must remove the torque converter. Should I change the fluid in the torque converter? Works ok now, but very low acceleration. Wonder if it could be fluid in torque converter is worn out. Any other tips on torque converter would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

We bought our Jeep Commander new in Nov. 2005. It now has 14000 + miles on it. It has a rough idle problem (while sitting still it acts like it is going to die). It stalls after hitting a small pothole or road changes. The power outlets have quit working, etc...etc...
Everytime I take it to the dealer they act like they have never seen this & tell me there are no recalls & the Jeeps computer is not showing in problems. But when a new car dies or stalls in traffic it is scary & very dangerous. Worried about the safety of my childern!! HELP!

i have a 1996 pontiac firefly hatchback with a 1995 4 cyl swap. it was working fine up until 2 days ago and my brake lights stopped working.
my turn signals still work, and the tail lights come on with my headlights, but brake lights wont come on at all.
i've checked the bulbs and i've checked the fuses.. i've looked all around by the brake pedal to see if there was a plugin unplugged.. what else could it be?
trying to eliminate all possibilities before tracing back all the wires to see if i have a burnt one.

1997 Dodge Stratus 5 speed
It has been running fine and one day my wife took it to the store. She called me and told me that it wouldnt start. I went there, tried to jumpstart it and that did no good. Since it is a manual trans. I pushed it of of the parking space pushed it popped the clutch and it fired right up. Got it home turned it off and immediately tried to start it. Got nothing.
When I try to start it all the lights and guages come on, but its like trying to start it when you dont have the clutch pushed in. Ifg I try to start it with out pushing the clutch in it does exactly the same thing as it is doing now. The motor wont trurn over a bit. I get nothing. Just the lights and guages. Other than that nothing happens. Cold this be the neutral safety switch? it seems pretty easy to change, I would like to know before I go out and spend $20 on a switch if thats not the problem.

im so tired of this vehicle its not even funny, the engine light is on at the moment still and I have replaced the spark plugs, I also took it to Autozone to get codes for the problem, its said code 302/ 2 missfires and it can either be Vacuum leak, high or low fuel pressure, ignition fault, spark plug, ignition coil, I dont have very much money at the time, and I have some what experience with this altima engine, im just trying to get all opinions cleared before I have to take it to the dealership, the vehicle was jumping today I added some fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank, and ever since Ive done that it started to jump but also today 9-14-06 I was driving the vehicle and it shut off on me but power was still running the egnine just died out, I really need some good opinions here. As soon as it died out I stopped the care put it in park and tried to turn it back on I added some gas while turning ignition and it came, this happen nearly 4 times today, thanks for your helpGODBLESS

The fuel indicator works fine until the level is around 1/4 tank, then it "sticks", so I don't get any readings below 1/4 tank. At that point, I usually hit the gas station and fill up. It's no big deal, but it would be nice if there were a way to fix this without removing the gas tank. Is there? Thanks in advance!
