We bought our Jeep Commander new in Nov. 2005. It now has 14000 + miles on it. It has a rough idle problem (while sitting still it acts like it is going to die). It stalls after hitting a small pothole or road changes. The power outlets have quit working, etc...etc...
Everytime I take it to the dealer they act like they have never seen this & tell me there are no recalls & the Jeeps computer is not showing in problems. But when a new car dies or stalls in traffic it is scary & very dangerous. Worried about the safety of my childern!! HELP!

I'll make a guess and say you are in the USA ?

You folks have a nice law with regards to Motor Cars , I know it as the " Lemon Law " but it probably has another " Real " name .

Next time you return to the Dealer remind them of that & also call Chrysler Customer service and Voice your Problems LOUD & CLEAR so they understand you " MEAN BUSINESS"

Good Luck .

I think you should bite the bullet and rent a car for a week, and DEMAND the service manager (not Adviser) or shop foreman drive it for a week as his personal ride.
Make it a point to keep ALL documentation of all visits to the service department regarding these failures.
Without telegraphing "attitude", remind the dealer's representative (sales, management, service) of the Federal LEMON LAW.
Insist on satisfaction, or at least an acknowledgment, IN WRITING that they have observed, and cannot correct your vehicle's behavior.
Then proceed with filing a Lemon Law complaint.

Go back to the dealer and offer the manager a ride. He'll want to fix it then.
Actually it sounds like a ground wire is loose. Take it back and refuse to take it home until the repairs are done. It's under warranty, get it fixed now.

i'm questioning if the heater has a filter out for the air intake as do G.M.'s do,if so it would choose changing. i could examine the physique vents to work out in the event that they are plugged with leaves and so on, if the moisture can no longer get out this could make it do it. in case you detect no longer something i could call the broking and spot what they advise, (different than bringing it in) they might have run into this earlier.
