Have you checked your rear brakes to make sure the brake pads are still good?

Do you have a manual shift or automatic transmission?

If you have an automatic tranny, the parking brake is not really necessary, so long as you leave the shifter in Park.

If you have a manual shift transmission, you can park the car in gear and the vehicle will keep from rolling.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to diagnose your problem without knowing more about the make/model and condition of your vehicle.
