Someone wishes to sell me a motorcycle, but he does not have a title for it? What will happen? How will it affect me?

A friend of mine, who is uninsured (is legal in this state) backed into a vehicle last week. The other driver is insured through American Family. After exchanging information and agreeing to stay in contact; he knew he was goin to have to personally pay for the damages. Within a week he was sent ONE estimate of over 3 thousand dollars to get the repairs. They asked to be paid in full in a fair ammount of time in order to repair their car. (This letter was not from an insurance company, but from the actual people involved in the incident.)

Realisticly, he is unable to pay them in full in the immideate future. Legally, what are his options? I would also like to know if he would be better off handeling it through thier insurance company?

In advance, I sincerely appreciate your time & advice. Thank-you.

When i transfered to a different highschool there was a little bit of confusion between schools and one school thought i wasn't attending one at all so they had my privelege to drive suspended before i had my permit. This was wrongly done but since it was already done i never went to get my permit until around feburary when i was sure it was possible for me to get one. The bigger problem now is that i just turned seventeen but still can't drive because i live in florida and have to wait a year after i get my permit to get a liscense. This has actually become a need as my parents work night shifts and lately i have'nt been able to get to school on time because no one lives around me and i'm forced to wait on my parents to pick me up rather than just go to school myself. My main question is if anyone knows of a possible way i could get my liscense earlier in the state of florida because of my situation. if anyone knows anything please post. Thank you

Here's the issue: 2 years ago, we had an ice storm here in Portland (Ore.). I totalled my van on Portland's icy roads (no car insurance btw) and haven't been able to use it since. It has deteriorated since then naturally, and is parked at a buddy's house. The problem is, my homeboy's sister - who lives with him and his pops - is getting pissy because it is parked there. I feel where she's coming from and want to send it off to rot in the junk yard. I still owe on it though: I have roughly 3K to pay off until it's mine. That's not a lot of $$$ but I'd like to get rid of it ASAP. If I tried to junk it or sell it off (for a very low price of course), would I have to present a deed/title? I won't be able to present a deed/title until I pay it off. If I park it in the street it will get towed and I'll have to pay a lot of money. I just want to get rid of it. I WILL pay it off, of course, because I don't want a negative credit rating. Any suggestions?

It was my fault because I was turning left from a stop sign while a car hit me going straight. I was cited failure to yield to oncomming traffic. I know it was my fault, and I also know to tell the insurance company it wasn't my fault. It's not a civil battle, but insurance battle for money.

The girl that hit me up the front end of my 2007 Lexus is250 was driving a Mitsibishi Galant 96 and says that she was seriously injured but didn't go to hospital right away.
Now she is suing me but I know it is my fault. What do I do. I do have full coverage insurance but should I plead guilty in court? If I even go to court.

My daughter (she is 16) was in Tennessee and was driving my car (We are from MS, she is insured to drive it as well, though). She allowed one of her guy friends, who is 16 as well and lives in Arizona, to drive my car, and he ran it off the road and into a forrest going about 70 or 80 mph going around a curve she told me (It was still drivable however, and the cops never came and filed anything, It was about 2am and they were heading back to our house we had rented in TN). There is about $3000 worth of damage done to my car, and I was wondering if the boy driving my car would be held responsible for the damages? Oh, and we don't want to turn it into our Insurance because if we do they will probably drop us (the car was in a wreck in 2006). Also, she tells me the boy had been drinking.
Thanks

I was in an accident this Spring where I was rear ended. There was $1500 damage to my car and I went to physio for 2 months but I still have problems with my back which I didn't have before the accident? They want to settle for $500 and then went up to $1000 on top of my car and doctor bills. What should I be looking for?

I live in AL. I recently purchased a 07 dodge charger about 3 months ago. This past weekend I was in an accident (rear ended by an un-insured driver). The estimate for the damages is $7201.00. The car will never be the same and I probably will not feel the same about the car because it will never be like new again. My question is can I request my insurance to total the car since it's so new and no one is sure of the problems in the future?

I'm 18 years old and I live in California. Four HOURS ago, I tried applying for car insurance and they told me it would cost 300 dollars because I had a point from court 2 years ago! I was shocked and remembered the only violation I did was jaywalking! It wasn't even a real jaywalk, I just walked in the pedestrian crosswalk when the hand was red. I was 15 and a half back then too! They say it would still count for another year because I didn't take driving school for it! Driving school? I was 15 and it had nothing to do with driving! I talked to the dmv and they said they couldn't do anything about it. My question is, do you guys know an insurance company that would be reasonable and give me a fair deal even with this problem? Please tell me where I can find one because I really need to drive to work and I can't pay 300 dollars...Thanks a lot!

Our car was hit while parked and the driver has AAA. AAA came out and made an estimate of $1200. Our insurance company and some local shops estimated the damage at $2800. The major difference being cutting in the rear quarter panel vs repairing it.

This is a small car worth only $5500. We can live with the damage and want to just get a check for the amount of damage and not have it repaired. I do not want the claim going throught our insurance.

What is the best way to get AAA's estimate closer to reality and a check issued to us, not a body shop?
