I was just wondering what would happen if you got the flu or a serious infection or horrible allergy or whatever else really bad with happen on the road?
How do trucking companies handle their drivers getting sick?

This happened to me twice. You just stop until you get well enough to drive again. Most companies would like you to at least get their vehicle into a company terminal if possible, but if you can't then you can't. The flu & allergies shouldn't render you unable to drive, you will just feel miserable while doing it.

This should be discussed upon hiring. Since you couldn't/shouldn't drive while ill, you would call your company and explain the situation. They would advise you on how to handle it (especially if it was a perishable load you were hauling).
