I have my permit and a good enough amount of logged hours...can I get my license? [Illinois - can't find it on their website]

Yup, all you need to do is go to the nearest DMV and take the written test to see if you qualify for a driver's permit. The idea behind driver's ed is to give one the information needed to answer the written test. Your online DMV has samples of written tests that you can try before you go to the DMV for the real deal!!!! Good luck!!!!

Yep, you may need to bring a licensed driver, since you may need to use their car to take the test.

Yup, and you don't need any hours. The hours are part of the 16/17 year old requirements.
